Learning and Teaching English is one anyone who wishes to develop their expertise in English language teaching. It is accessible for readers at all stages of their career - trainee teachers, newly qualified teachers, and more experienced teachers. It covers the teaching of children, young adults, and adults. The book introduces the essential features of learning, teaching, the English language, and the relationship between the three. CORA LINSDAY has taught English language and literature in schools and universities in Italy, the former Yugoslavia, Hungary, and Slovakia, and most recently has been working at The Open University in the UK. PAUL KNIGHT was a lecturer in applied linguistics in the UK before joining Nottingham University at their Ningbo, China campus. He has taught English and trained English teachers in the UK, China, Indonesi, and Pakistan.
