This book provides a snapshot of privacy laws and practices from a varied set ofjurisdictions in order to offer guidance on national and international contemporaryissues regarding the processing of personal data. It also serves as an up-to-dateresource on the applications and practice-relevant examples of data protection lawsin different countries. Our objective was to show the applications of the GDPRwithin European countries and a selection of national data protection laws fromdifferent continents with a focus on how the GDPR has influenced these laws.
