Rapid advances in computing have enabled the integration of corpora into language teaching and learning, yet in China corpus methods have not yet been widely adopted. Corpus Linguistics in Chinese Contexts aims to advance the state of the art in the use of corpora in applied linguistics and contribute to the expertise in corpus use in China. Uniquely, this book includes corpus studies on both Chinese and English, addressing the use of corpora in language teaching, analysis of learner language, as well as examinations of patterns of Chinese and English. Topics addressed include the novel extension of Lexical Priming theory to Chinese, textual analyses of both Chinese and English, and learner corpus studies.
